Network 2005 Craft Skills Gap Survey Report
Electric and natural gas utilities nationwide face significant aging workforce challenges. They are struggling to fill skilled technical and craft positions, and that shortage is likely to continue over the next five years and beyond. The Craft Skills Gap Survey was conducted in the summer of 2005 by the Utility Workforce Planning Network and analyzed by the John J. Heldrich Center for Workforce Development at Rutgers University. A copy of the Heldrich Center survey findings is available to Network members. For a copy of the Survey Summary Report, click here.
